Aaron Donald’s Return Headlines Monday Night Football

EntitledSports will publish a daily round-up of all the major games available through streaming and terrestrial broadcast tv or cable for sports fans. You can find the full schedules and ways to watch on the entitledsports.com/schedule.

Monday’s slate is small, and the headline is a comeback. Aaron Donald plans to play his first NFL game since his 2023 retirement when the Rams host the Giants. We also have two WNBA games with seeding on the line six days before the playoffs start, and an AL East game between two teams clinging to the edge of the wild card race.

TOR Blue Jays @ BAL Orioles — 6:35 PM ET

MLB · Watch on ESPN Unlimited, MLB.TV

The Toronto Blue Jays (77-79) visit the Baltimore Orioles (75-81) with both clubs sitting just outside the AL wild card picture and running out of schedule to fix it. Every loss to a fellow chaser costs double at this point in September, which gives a quiet Monday in Baltimore more edge than usual.

ATL Dream @ NY Liberty — 8:00 PM ET

WNBA · Watch on NBC Sports Network, Peacock

The Atlanta Dream (28-14) visit the NY Liberty (25-16) with six days until the playoffs start. Atlanta holds the No. 4 seed by a half game over Indiana, and first-round home court rides on it. The Liberty are tied with Washington for 7th, and the difference between seventh and eighth is Golden State or Minnesota in round one.

NYG Giants @ LAR Rams — 8:15 PM ET

NFL · Watch on ESPN Unlimited, ABC

Aaron Donald set to play his first game since the 2023 season when the Los Angeles Rams (0-1) host the New York Giants (1-0) in their home opener. Donald officially unretired on Aug. 30, and the Rams need the lift: they opened 0-1 with a 27-7 loss to San Francisco (2-0) in Melbourne, and Myles Garrett, the pass rusher they traded for this offseason, is on injured reserve.

DAL Wings @ PHX Mercury — 10:00 PM ET

WNBA · Watch on USA Network, WNBA League Pass

The Dallas Wings (26-16) close the night in Phoenix against the Phoenix Mercury (15-27), whose season ends when the regular season does. Dallas sits sixth with two games left, 1.5 back of Indiana for 5th, a spot that swaps a 1st Round series against Las Vegas for one against Atlanta.
