Throughout the summer of 2026, NBA teams that were left homeless after Fanduel Sports Network folded announced their short term regional broadcast plans for the the 2026-2027 season. For many fans this news didn’t reach them, so here you can find all the details you need and any late updates as they comtinue to develop. As of now 12/13 teams have found homes, with the Clippers as the only ones left to make a decision, which I’d imagine is hard with Steve Ballmer now serving a 1-year suspension for cap circumvention.

Six teams will put their local games on broadcast TV. If you have an antenna, these are free. If you don’t, you’ll want to check your cable or live TV streaming service.
Miami Heat
Announced June 8, 2026
Over-the-air on WPLG Local 10, streaming free on Local 10 Plus Platinum. The first of the 13 to get it done. Every non-nationally televised Heat game airs on WPLG Local 10, the Berkshire Hathaway-owned independent station that simulcast 12 games last season and doubled or tripled the team’s normal viewership doing it. In-market fans without an antenna can stream the games free through the station’s Local 10 Plus Platinum app on phones, tablets and smart TVs, no subscription required. The deal is for one season with an option for 2027-28, and Eric Reid and John Crotty stay on the call.
Milwaukee Bucks
Announced July 10, 2026
Over-the-air on MY24. Every Bucks preseason and regular season game not on national TV airs on MY24 (WCGV, channel 24), the Rincon Broadcasting station that last carried the team from 1988 to 1994. It is the first full season of Bucks basketball on free TV in 31 years, and it started early with Summer League on July 12. MY24 is on most major cable systems and YouTube TV. A statewide affiliate network and a direct-to-consumer streaming option were both promised as details to follow, and neither has been announced yet.
Atlanta Hawks
Announced July 16, 2026
Over-the-air on Gray Media. Every non-nationally televised regular season game plus three preseason games air free on WANF (Atlanta News First) and Peachtree Sports Network, with Gray stations across the state picking up the games too: WALB in Albany, WRDW in Augusta, WTVM in Columbus, WPGA in Macon and WTOC in Savannah. WANF is an independent station, which is the whole point. As its GM put it, being independent means it can carry more Hawks games than a network affiliate could. WANF is carried on Xfinity, Spectrum, DirecTV and DISH, and on YouTube TV, DirecTV Stream and Fubo. No standalone streaming product has been announced.
Detroit Pistons
Over-the-air on Scripps stations plus Detroit Pistons on DAZN. The Pistons signed with The E.W. Scripps Company to put every locally available preseason and regular season game on free TV: WXYZ Channel 7 and The Spot Detroit 20 (WMYD) in the Detroit market, and as of an August expansion, FOX 17 (WXMI) and The Spot Grand Rapids 17 in West Michigan. The package includes pregame, in-game and postgame coverage plus a weekly half-hour Pistons show, and the games are also carried on participating cable and satellite providers. No streaming or direct-to-consumer product has been announced, so if you don’t have an antenna or a TV provider that carries these stations, you are waiting on NBA League Pass.
Orlando Magic
Over-the-air on Cox Media Group, plus Orlando Magic on DAZN. Orlando named Cox Media Group its broadcast home, putting games on WFTV Channel 9 and WRDQ TV 27, with a separate Jacksonville deal covering CBS 47, FOX 30 and a new Action Sports Jax TV subchannel. A DAZN streaming partnership is expected alongside the broadcast deal but has not been formally announced. Free broadcast games are a better outcome than anything the Magic had on FanDuel Sports Network.
Charlotte Hornets
Over-the-air on Cox Media Group, plus Charlotte Hornets on DAZN. Beginning with 2026-27, every non-nationally televised Hornets game airs on ABC affiliate WSOC Channel 9 or independent station TV64 under a one-season deal, with a separate DAZN streaming deal expected.
In DAZN
Five teams went with DAZN as their exclusive local home. Each has its own team pass inside the DAZN app, most at $19.99 a month or $119.99 for the season, and each puts a set of games in front of the paywall for free.
Minnesota Timberwolves
Timberwolves on DAZN. The most detailed deal of the group, and the first one signed. Games stream exclusively on DAZN with 15 available free in front of the paywall, across a territory covering Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota plus parts of Kansas and Wisconsin, with the NBA producing the broadcasts.
Indiana Pacers
Announced August 20, 2026
Pacers on DAZN is now the exclusive streaming home of Pacers basketball, with 22 free regular-season games on the app and a territory covering Indiana, Kentucky, Iowa, Illinois and Missouri. A season pass runs $119.99, or $59.99 early bird through October 15, with a $19.99 monthly option. Pacers season ticket holders get the season pass free.
Cleveland Cavaliers
Announced September 1, 2026
Cavaliers on DAZN. A multi-year exclusive deal makes DAZN the direct-to-fan home for every Cavs regular-season game not taken by a national broadcaster, plus preseason and team-produced programming. Fifteen games will also be free on DAZN and simulcast locally over the air, though the simulcast partner and which games have not been named. This is the richest tier structure of the DAZN deals so far: a Monthly Pass at $19.99 or Season Pass at $119.99 with two streams in one location, or Ultimate versions at $24.99 monthly and $139.99 season with five streams across two locations, multiview, alternate feeds and a one-time 15% shop discount. Production moves in-house to Rock Entertainment Sports Network with the existing broadcast crew of John Michael, Brad Daugherty, Serena Winters and Cayleigh Griffin retained. Cavs United and Foundation members on full or half-season plans get a subscription included.
San Antonio Spurs
Announced September 2, 2026
Spurs on DAZN after they named DAZN their exclusive direct-to-consumer home for every regular season game not selected for national TV, all preseason games, team-produced originals, San Antonio FC matches and Austin Spurs G League games, across Central, South and West Texas. Pricing matches Cleveland exactly: $19.99 monthly or $119.99 for the season, with Ultimate tiers at $24.99 and $139.99 that add alternate feeds, camera angles and multiview. Season ticket members get 20% off the season pass and Fan Club members who join by September 9 get a discount as well. Twenty-two games will also air free over the air through a local broadcast partner that has not been named yet. The Spurs are handling production in-house, and with 34 national appearances this season, tied for the league maximum, the DAZN package covers fewer games than most of the other markets.
Memphis Grizzlies
Announced September 10, 2026
Grizzlies on DAZN after the Grizzlies signed a multi-year deal making DAZN their exclusive local home for 78 of their 80 announced regular-season games plus all four preseason games, across their seven-state territory that takes in Tennessee, Mississippi, Kentucky, Alabama, Missouri, central and southern Illinois and eastern Arkansas. With only two national TV games this season, that is nearly the whole schedule. Fifteen games are free to anyone with a free DAZN account and will also be simulcast over the air, the most free Grizzlies games since 2001-02, though the broadcast partner has not been named. Pricing matches the other DAZN teams at $19.99 a month or $119.99 for the season, and the season pass gets cheaper as the year goes on. MVP season ticket members get the season pass free. Pete Pranica, Brevin Knight and Rob Fischer stay on the call.
Team-owned network
OKC Thunder
Announced August 27, 2026
Thunder Gameday Network, streaming on Thunder+. Rather than join DAZN or an over-the-air station group, the Thunder built their own channel. Thunder Gameday Network carries the games through local cable providers throughout Oklahoma and the surrounding five-state region, and Thunder+ is the streaming companion on OTT devices with live games plus full replays and recaps. Thunder+ is $19.99 a month or $108.99 for the season, with an early-bird season price of $99.99 for anyone who signs up between September 8 and September 30. The broadcast team of Chris Fisher, Michael Cage, Nick Gallo and Paris Lawson stays intact.
The LA Clippers
Unresolved. FanDuel Sports Network SoCal shut down with no buyer, and the LA Clippers are now the only one of the 13 teams with nothing announced for 2026-27. Before the NBA’s September 2 sanctions in the Kawhi Leonard salary cap case, the team was expected to renew its over-the-air deal with KTLA 5 and was also weighing its own media network. Bringing back ClipperVision, the team’s streaming service that was folded into FanDuel’s local streaming last season, is another option. Last year the Clippers didn’t finalize local TV until just before the season, and they open at home against Sacramento on October 21. With only eight national TV games this season, whatever they land on will carry nearly the entire schedule. We will update when there is an actual announcement rather than guess.
FAQ
What happened to FanDuel Sports Network?
Main Street Sports Group, the company behind FanDuel Sports Network (formerly Bally Sports), went out of business and stopped carrying NBA games after the 2025-26 regular season. The NBA told its 13 teams to find new local deals for 2026-27.
Which NBA teams are on DAZN in 2026-27?
Of the former FanDuel teams, the Timberwolves, Pacers, Cavaliers, Spurs and Grizzlies stream local games on DAZN. The Magic and Hornets are expected to add DAZN streaming alongside their over-the-air deals.
Can I watch my local NBA team for free?
For the Heat, Bucks, Hawks, Pistons, Magic and Hornets, yes: local games air on broadcast TV, so an antenna is enough. The Heat also stream free on Local 10+ Platinum. The DAZN teams each offer 15 to 22 free games, and the Thunder charge for Thunder+. Will will update more info regarding those games as the details are solidified.
Will NBA League Pass show these games?
Only outside each team’s home territory. Inside it, local games are blacked out on League Pass no matter who carries them. Check your address with our blackout lookup tool.
Is the NBA launching its own local streaming service?
That is the plan, but it slipped from 2026-27 to a 2027-28 target. That is why most of these deals are one-season agreements or include an opt-out after year one, so expect this page to change again next summer.
Only the Clippers still have no plan, and Magic and Hornets fans are still waiting on a streaming option. We will update this post as each one lands. In the meantime, check your local blackouts and see the full TV schedule.
